Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) remain a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a multifaceted hand hygiene intervention among 800 healthcare workers in three tertiary hospitals. The intervention included education, visual reminders, and periodic audits with feedback. HAI incidence rates, hand hygiene compliance, and knowledge scores were measured pre- and post-intervention. Results demonstrated a 35% reduction in HAIs (p < 0.01) and a significant increase in hand hygiene compliance from 48% to 82% (p < 0.001). The study highlights that structured hand hygiene programs are essential for infection prevention and should be integrated into hospital policies.
