Seasonal influenza poses significant morbidity and mortality risks in elderly populations. This retrospective cohort study examined the impact of annual influenza vaccination campaigns on hospital admissions and mortality rates among individuals aged ≥65 years. Data from 5,000 elderly participants over five influenza seasons were analyzed. Vaccinated individuals had a 40% lower risk of influenza-related hospitalization (RR = 0.60, 95% CI: 0.52–0.70) and a 25% reduction in all-cause mortality compared to unvaccinated individuals. These findings reinforce the importance of targeted vaccination campaigns as a cost-effective public health measure to reduce influenza burden in high-risk populations.
