Fatima El-Khatib¹, Samuel Greene², Lian Zhang³

Abstract

Public trust in vaccination programs can be significantly influenced by healthcare workers’ attitudes. This mixed-methods study explored vaccine confidence among 850 primary care workers across five hospitals in the United Arab Emirates. Quantitative analysis showed that 68% expressed strong confidence in national vaccination campaigns, though 22% reported hesitancy regarding new vaccine technologies. Qualitative interviews revealed concerns about misinformation and inconsistent communication from global health authorities. Enhancing transparent risk communication and continuous professional education could strengthen vaccine advocacy among healthcare providers.
