This quasi-experimental study evaluated the effectiveness of three popular mobile health (mHealth) applications in increasing daily step counts among 300 adults aged 60+. Participants were randomly assigned to app-based intervention or control groups for 12 weeks. The intervention group demonstrated a mean increase of 1,750 steps per day (p < 0.05) and self-reported improvements in motivation and perceived health. Usability challenges were noted, highlighting the need for age-friendly design and digital literacy support. These results suggest that tailored mHealth tools can play a vital role in active aging initiatives.
